Get to know your neighbors by attending your neighborhood general meeting!

Many students underestimate how useful and important meeting your neighbors can be. Building positive relationships with those within your neighborhood helps foster a better community while also preventing pesky neighbor issues.

Having a party? Knowing your neighbors makes it easier to let them know ahead of time, often preventing noise complaints. Leaving town for a while? Permanent residents can easily watch our for suspicious behavior around your home and are more likely to do so if you are acquainted.

Neighborhood Association Meetings generally happen monthly and discuss new neighborhood developments, parking issues, construction, crime prevention, upcoming events, and many more important topics. This is an excellent way to express any concerns or ask any questions regarding your area.

Each neighborhood is unique to what topics may be discussed and what concerns neighbors may have.  Reach out to your neighborhood association's board members to learn more about general meetings open to the public.
